Three Prompts Every Leader Should Have Ready

The fastest way to start using AI well is to stop inventing prompts on the fly. Keep three good ones in your back pocket. Reach for them daily. Iterate them quarterly.

Prompt one — "Brief me." Paste a document, ask for a structured executive summary with risks and recommendations. Use this every time you receive a 20-page report you do not have time to read carefully.

Prompt two — "Stress-test this." Paste a plan, a strategy, or a memo. Ask the model to identify the three strongest objections and how a skeptical executive would frame them. Use this before any major meeting.

Prompt three — "Translate this for X." Paste a technical document. Ask for a version pitched at a different audience — your board, your customers, your engineers. Use this whenever you cross a fluency boundary.
